1 Day Horsemanship

Our 1 day horsemanship event will be a well-rounded course that will begin with a quick review of disengaging the horse’s hind quarters before jumping on and beginning our ride. We will work on developing control of the horse’s body through use of 3 leg positions in order to maintain softness in our horses throughout our rides. Various drills will be utilized in order to keep our horses minds at work as well as at ease. These drills are designed to be able to duplicate at home so that participants can practice what they’ve learned in clinic.

If you need a refresher course, a building course to advance your ride to the next level, or just enjoy a day in the saddle with like-minded friends… this is will be a suitable clinic for you!

This clinic may or may not incorporate light cattle work and flag work depending on participant’s ability. Will be at clinician’s discretion.

All riders welcome! (must be able to lope independently and have your own horse)

We highly encourage all team ropers participating in the May 10 one-day focused team roping clinic to begin your education with this one day horsemanship clinic!!

Private Military Clinic

To respectfully show gratitude for the Veteran and First Responder communities who have selflessly risked everything for us, we have partnered with Freedom Horse Ranch to offer a horsemanship clinic to these heroes. During these clinics we allow the participants to bond with the carefully chosen clinic horses in order to improve the lives of those who are cognitively stressed, physically challenged, and socially disconnected due to their traumatic experiences. Once confidence is built and safety is established, we begin instilling basic fundamental horsemanship skills to each of those participating. It is an amazing experience for all involved!
